29 Aug Tour Day 3
Apologies for the lack of news yesterday, however it was a long day and the first opportunity for an update is now.
Day 3 involved the U14s and u16s playing in the Daring Brugge tournament. Both were 11 a side tournaments involving 4 teams, with 40 minute games and once again no linesmen! Also both tournament were in the age group above them!
The u16s battled hard all day and played some great football narrowly losing two and drawing their final game.
The u14s managed to win their first two games as did their opponents that they met for their third game, which obviously meant our 3rd and final match was the decider (and because of goal difference we needed a win as a draw was not good enough.) Bransgore found themselves 2-0 down very quickly but some great team spirit and fight saw them come back and win the match 4-2. A fantastic result meaning winning the tournament!
Well done to both teams for playing some great football today!
The whole group ended up going for a ‘last night’ group meal together at a local restaurant and done celebrations!
