24 Aug U12s Match report
Today we played SC Leeuwen. A great little club with lovely facilities. A bit smaller then the club yesterday however still an impressive set up. A very entertaining game with lots of goals. We took an impressive 4-0 lead in the first half with a fine hattrick by Barney and a delightful header by Matt. The second half was a slight different story however. We did change things around a fair bit and although we had several chances we didn’t score again. The opposition did score towards the end (although even the ref knew the ball had gone out of play before being crossed in. With the match nearing a close (infact it had over run by 4 mins as Jason was meant to be telling the ref when time was up) they scored again with gk Liam getting injured in the process. Sam took over in goal and for reasons unknown, Jason decided to tell them there was another 2 more minutes to go (insuring Nick there was no need to panic) – only for them to score again!
To team held on for a very well deserved victory. Final score 4-3
